"At the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta (ISB), we are very excited about our upcoming “2015 Building Bridges Awards Gala” on November 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta” said Soumaya Khalifa, Executive Director of the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta.

Since its inception in August 2001, the ISB has been at the forefront in educating and building bridges of understanding between American Muslims and Americans of other faiths.

Join some of Atlanta's most prominent leaders from the interfaith, education, and business communities as they gather to honor recipients of the "2015 Building Bridges Award." For the past 14 years, the ISB has honored individuals and organizations in the metro Atlanta area who have made significant contributions toward interfaith and multicultural understanding.

The 2015 gala will feature a networking reception followed by a banquet, an awards ceremony, and a keynote address from Mayor Shirley Franklin, former mayor of the City of Atlanta and currently the Chairman of the Board of Purpose Built Communities, and the Barbara Jordan Visiting Professor in Ethics and Political Values in the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. The Emcee for the Gala will be Ms. Rose Scott. Ms. Scott is an award-winning journalist and co-host of A Closer Look. Most recently, Rose was awarded a 2014 GABBY award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for best sportscast in radio.
