Soumaya Khalifa Featured on Radio Show Political Rewind

Soumaya Khalifa, founder and Executive Director of the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta, was invited by Bill Nigut to appear on his radio show, Political Rewind on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Khalifa spoke about the Muslim community and the aftermath of the political rhetoric that is taking place with the election. Other panelists included Jim Galloway, AJC Political writer, and Eric Tanenblatt, Republican insider. The panelists commenced by discussing Governor Deal's veto of the Religious House Bill 757 or Georgia's "Religious Liberty" Bill.

Khalifa specifically spoke about the Georgia Islamic community and their responses to the rhetoric from ​the political candidates about American Muslims. Khalifa emphasized the importance of building positive relations between law enforcement and American Muslims.The segment also featured FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett who discussed law enforcement and tips for Muslims on staying on top of of possible threats.
