Atlanta-based couple Aidah & Siddiq will appear on tonight’s episode of “Home Free” on FOX at 9 pm. The new reality series features nine couples competing to win a new home. During each episode, the couples renovate a new house. At the end of the episode, the fully renovated home is given to a deserving family.

“When we saw the casting call for Home Free, we knew that we had to take the opportunity to compete for a dream home to finally fulfill our dream of being homeowners,” Aidah said.

Like other American Muslims, Aidah and Siddiq have struggled to become homeowners while avoiding usury (riba) in their home purchase.

“We have been renting but after our first child we decided it was time to get a house,” Aidah said. “After months of searching, we found the perfect home but at the last minute our Riba-free loan fell through. We have been saving up ever since to finally be home owners.”

Aidah and Siddiq have been married for 7 years and have two daughters, ages 1 and 3. They have asked that their last name not be used until the show airs tonight.
