Atlanta based Salaam Cruise is headed to the Bahamas again this December. This time, the group is being accompanied by top speakers such as Sheikh Yasir Qadhi and Ustadh Wissam Sharieff. Another addition is that excursions to a private island are now included in the package offered on their website. One of Salaam Cruise's oganizer, Faisal, said that these changes were implemented based on the feedback from their last cruise. He mentioned that the guests accompanying the last cruise were quite please with prayer arrangements, halal food, and private area arranged by their team on their last cruise.

Faisal mentioned that there is a limit to how many times you can go to Disney World, the nearby mountains and bouncy playhouses. After a while, vacations start becoming redundant and predictable. Vacations are meant to re-energize and excite, and Salaam Cruise is about offering the community a unique, halal experience that will bring back the joy of vacationing. Faisal stated that cabins are selling fast, and the prices will go up weekly as they get closer to sailing.

The following information was available from their website:

Salaam Cruise offers:

  • A weekend free of cooking, cleaning, bed making and dish washing
  • Vacationing with brothers and sisters from all over North America and making new friends
  • Brother/sisterhood building through onboard congregational prayers (including juma'a) and lectures by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi and Ustadh Wisam Sharieff
  • Secluded beaches (even for the sisters), water activities
  • Professionally organized children's activities
  • Breath taking views of the ocean and many onboard activities
  • A break from cell phones and computers and time to enjoy the family without distractions
