We've lost the love for one another. True, genuine love. The type of love that makes us hurt when we hear of someone else's pain regardless of religious beliefs or language barriers. The type of love that makes us greet one another with the warmest hugs and friendliest smiles although we don't know eachother. It seems as if we only concern ourselves enough to help when matters affect our "homes".
We throw the words "I love you" around like a football being passed amongst its players yet the minute the recipients whom we profess our love to needs help, we run in the opposite direction only to be found after the situation is rectified.
This is a problem. There's a chinese expression that states, "If you want to be happy for an hour, take a nap. If you want to be happy for a day, go fishing. If you want to be happy for year, inherent a fortune. If you want to be happy for a lifetime, help someone." Happiness is when you can release those feel good chemicals all throughout your body because you helped to improve someone's life and you expect nothing in return but Allah's happiness, pleasure, and favor upon you. Yea, that makes me happy.
So many people are unhappy because they're not helping themselves or others. What I love about Atlanta is that our survival is based upon networking, helping eachother and uniting. It's time to take back our happiness globally. Help save humanity. Help, heal, change, save, uplift, inspire and I guarantee happiness will be back in our possession.
Start with yourself. Invest in yourself, you are your greatest commodity. Next look at your family members, I guarantee they need your help. Then look at your neighbors, friends, community members. There's someone out there waiting for you to get yourself together so you can change their lives forever. You have no idea the potential you can reach when you purify your intentions to help others. I pray you like this article enough to take massive action right now!
Love and selflessness is the best recipe for happiness.
