Al-Falah Academy is a private Islamic full-time school in its 7th year of operations. We serve students in grades Pre-K3 to 12th grade in the north metro Atlanta, Georgia area. We have rapidly grown to 360 students this year, masha’Allah. We enjoy, by the grace of Allah (SWT), a very committed staff as well as strong parent support, and we have worked hard to fulfill our motto: “Excellence and Success.”
OPEN POSITIONS: FULL-TIME ARABIC TEACHER
We require certain personal characteristics which will indicate a likelihood of success and a good match for our current faculty. The suitable candidate will be committed to our Islamic deen, as revealed in the Qur’an and modeled in the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). In manner, dress, and character, the successful candidate will be an excellent role model for the students.
We are seeking staff members who have a positive disposition towards children, and who are flexible, reflective problem-solvers. A key quality for the successful candidate is to have a strong work ethic.
Teaching applicants should have a passion for the teaching profession, enjoying innovative teaching approaches and keeping up with fresh ideas in the field.
Professional Qualifications—Arabic Teaching position:
All applicants should show evidence of the following required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a major concentration in Arabic or a related subject
Ability to speak and write Modern Standard Arabic, and familiarity with the Modern Language GPS and the ACTFL World Language guidelines
A degree or certification in Education or a willingness to pursue such a degree
Classroom experience in an American setting, and authorized to work in the US
A working knowledge of computers, the internet, and basic document applications
