Noor Famikly Services, an established non-profit organization, is looking for a Case Manager. The Domestic Violence Case Manager creates an environment that supports individual safety and breaks the cycle of domestic violence by providing services that include crisis intervention/safety planning, prevention programs, and public policy advocacy.
-Provide client intake and advocacy.
-Answer crisis calls and intervention.
-Advocate with outside agency regarding client's needs.
-Assist clients in developing safety planning which addresses client's particular situations.
-Provide clients with information and referral and resources outside of the domestic violence program.
-Attend some training by (GCADV, Umbrella, etc.).
-Ensure that clients' needs are met appropriately.
-Ensure all documentation is complete by end of shift.
-Set schedules for clients to meet with attorneys.
-Maintain clients' confidentiality records by reviewing case notes; logging events and progress.
-Communicate clients' progress by conducting evaluations; disseminating results and obstacles.
-Prepare quarterly reports by collecting, analyzing demographic and statistical client data.
-Coordinate with clients to find shelters and make hotel reservations if necessary.
-Arrange transportation for clients and delivering supplies if necessary.
-Help clients file legal documents such as Temporary Protection Order.
-Other duties as assigned by the executive director.
-B.S, B.A Bachelor degree in Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, Sociology or related field
-Sensitivity to children exposed to domestic violence and battered women’s issues, trauma sensitive and maturity required.
-Must be able to work as part of a team, maintaining professional attitude and respectful demeanor with clients, co-workers and supervisors at all times.
-Knowledge of diverse community resources preferred.
-Bi-lingual ( English/Urdu or Arabic) ability desirable.
-Effective communication and writing skills
-Problem solving and ability to multitask
