Event Description

During the ISLAMIC HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN Muslims across the globe fast (the daylight hours) from sun up to sun down for 30days. At the end of each day fasters gather to have a fast breaking meal/dinner called an Iftar!

The Muslim Mix Annual Iftar is a space for YOUNG ADULT MUSLIMS to connect with one another, and Atlanta’s faith communities, by engaging in inter-personal dialogue that is relevant to today’s social climate.

With warm greetings, open hearts, and minds, interfaith guests are introduced to the meanings, traditions, and significance of this Month for Muslims all over the world! In this space, Muslims are able to share their Islamic culture in an environment that promote and celebrate their voice.

In fact, what makes this event so special is that it celebrates the voices of all in attendance!

This year for our 3rd annual interfaith Iftar we’re excited to share that our interfaith partnership is steadily growing, to include even more amazing partners both local and national!

We will be teaming up with our community partners to join Shoulder to Shoulder, for their United States of Love Over Hate Ramadan Road Trip campaign stop in Atlanta!

What an amazing opportunity for broadening and raising the profile of our interfaith work in Atlanta! Therefore, we excitedly invite you to join us again this year for our annual Interfaith Ramadan Iftar, May 16, at Magnolia Hall in Piedmont Park! As we invite people of all faiths, our neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family, we expect this night to be nothing short of magical!!
