Disrupting the School-to-Prison Pipeline Webinar

Sept. 11, 2018, 4 p.m.

Event Description

As students across the United States begin a new school year, we want to spotlight one of the ways mass incarceration impacts society's youngest members - the school-to-prison pipeline.

Join us for a webinar on September 11, 2018 at 4pm EST as policy advocates and activists discuss zero tolerance policies, the unequal impact on Black and Latinx students, youth with disabilities, and the Counselors Not Cops initiative. Featuring Andrea Ortez (Partnership for Resilience), Beatriz Beckford (MomsRising) and Dr. Shantel Meek (Children's Equity Project).

Believers Bail Out is a community led effort to bail out Muslims in pretrial incarceration. We support efforts to abolish money bond and are dedicated to raising awareness within Muslim communities on the injustices of the bail bond system and the broader prison-industrial complex.
