Event Description

This event was originally created by Project Hope Atlanta.

Join Project Hope Atlanta's women as we lift, tone, and tuck away at Pure Barre! This event will cost a minimum donation amount of $15/person and ALL proceeds will go towards Project Hope Atlanta. The funds we are currently collecting are for our seniors graduating from high school and attending college next Fall. This class is limited to only 22 spots - please be sure to reserve your spot by completing the registration form: https://goo.gl/forms/GartcsXvrFItWbXz1

BACKGROUND: Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body.

In just 55 minutes you will achieve a full-body workout concentrating on the areas women struggle with the most: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms. The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up!

The concentration involved while taking Pure Barre allows you to block "life" out for the hour, creating the mental benefits similarly obtained by the practice of yoga or meditation. A transformed body and a clear head in just one hour—it doesn't get much better than this.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS? You should wear pants, leggings or capris that you are comfortable in (no shorts) and a top that covers your midriff. You will see faster results in your flexibility this way. You will also want to wear sticky socks to retain your body’s heat as well as prevent your feet from sliding (you’ll thank us later). You’ll want to remove your shoes and put on your socks before you walk through the studio (you’ll be lying down on the carpet during class, so this is just an effort to keep the floors as tidy as possible).

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO: - We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins. Once you fill out a short waiver, the teacher will show you where you can leave your belongings and help you get the equipment you’ll be using during the day’s class – typically a set of light weights, a ball, and a tube.

  • Bring a water bottle

  • This class is for women only. If you wear hijab, you can feel free to remove it during class and wear clothes you feel most comfortable working out in.
