On June 10th, an Islamophobic hate group plans to hold anti-Islam protests across the country, including a rally in Atlanta. This despite the recent string of deplorable hate crimes here at home, as well as terrorist attacks overseas.

While bigots and extremists seek to divide Atlanta with hate, Georgia's Muslim community welcomes you to unite our diverse community in service.

Join us this Saturday, June 10th, at 11 am in Atlanta for "No To Extremism & Bigotry, Yes To Service & Unity," an interfaith gathering where people of all faiths and backgrounds can collectively "repel evil with good."

We encourage attendees to bring nonperishable food items, which we plan to collect and donate send to an Atlanta food bank. During the event, faith leaders and community partners also plan to deliver remarks about what inspires them to serve their neighbors.

We plan to announce the location in Atlanta shortly, and we will also update the list of participants throughout the week, God willing/insha Allah.

Contact Aisha Yaqoob of Asian Americans Advancing Justice Atlanta or Ruwa Romman of CAIR Georgia (Rromman@cair.com) if your organization or house of worship can attend, donate and/or speak at the gathering.
