Rabia Khan, LAPC will be facilitating this 'Self Esteem for Tweens' Workshop for Girls ages 10-13 as a 3 hour workshop that will cover the six following modules:

Self Esteem for Tweens
Loving your body, loving your self and growing your unique gifts, talents and personality result in Enhanced Self Esteem for Tweens. Healthy Tweens grow into healthy teens and are less likely to develop eating disorders, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol addiction, and conduct disorder. Tweens with high self esteem have greater self efficacy with their academic achievements and report a stronger sense of social belonging.

Module 1:
Different is Beautiful
Visualizing Body Imagery Exercise: Sharing our Authentic Selves & Our Soft Spots

Module 2:
You are Beauty Full
Lacking Self Compassion is a Communicable Disease. Understanding societal pressures and norms for Body Image. Turning off Triggers.

Module 3:
Art Therapy Exercise: Emotional Regulation
Mandala creation to balance our difficult emotions: Fear, Anger, Sadness and Anger.

Module 4:
Committing To Nourish My Body & Feed My Soul
Strategies for Staying on a Healthy Path: Mindfulness, Symptom Substitution & Passions

Module 5:
Love Surrounds Me: I am Safe. I am Supported.
Group Think: Soul sisters teach us. Siblings help us grow our weaknesses. Parents protect us. Counselors care for us. God's compassion surrounds us. Know when and where to reach out. Visualizing your inner circle. And committing to share our Authentic Selves with our Inner Circle.

I am Healed, Whole & Healthy
