Event Description

A FREE Disaster Preparedness Summit for the leaders of faith-based and civic organizations and diverse communities will be hosted in Gwinnett County by Noah’s Ark & Company in partnership with The Joseph’s Network and the American Red Cross.

This half-day event encourages leaders to network among diverse and multi-denominational faith and civic groups, establish relationships with disaster response agencies, and learn how to be an involved community partner in times of disaster.

Special presenters include:

• Georgia Emergency Management Agency, Janay Stargell, Praise & Preparedness Coordinator

• Gwinnett, Newton & Rockdale County Health Departments , Gerald Gifford, Emergency Prep Manager & Strategic National Stockpile Planner

• Crisis Emergency Risk Communication with CDC, Roger Pippin, Division of Public Affairs

• Gwinnett County’s Citizen’s Corps, Paul Hoover, Faith Based Network Chairperson
