The Training will cover a myriad of critical topics, including: + An overview of mental illness (anxiety, depression, psychosis such as schizophrenia) and substance use disorders in the United States + Introduction to risk factors (such as suicide or harm) and warning signs of mental health problems + Builds understanding of their impact, and provides an overview of common treatments.

The presenters for this course are Kameelah Mu'Min Rashad, Interfaith Fellow & Muslim Chaplain at the University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Jean Wright, Director at the Department of Behavioral Health & Intellectual Disability Services.

Imams across all of the Mosques in the Atlanta Metro Area have been invited. Reach out to your Imam to confirm their attendance! Our hopes are to equip our Imams & Community Leaders with one more skill that they can add to their skill set in serving our communities, God willing.
