Event Description

Assalaamu-alaikum friends!

This Ramadan, the Eid Toy Drive is in full swing! We will be hosting our Eid Toy Drive Wrapping Party at Masjid Omar bin Abdul-Aziz, sponsored by Baitul Salaam Network and Thakaat Foundation!

As some of you now, Atlanta has been very blessed with a very large population of Muslims from around the globe. Many families will be having their first Ramadan here, away from their loved ones and familiar lands. Here's a chance to put a smile on some of the children's faces this Eid.

Also with the unstable economy, many people are having a hard time making ends meet and do not have the opportunity to spend those extra dollars for Eid. The toys will be distributed amongst families those financially burdened from in this time and the rest of the toys will be shipped to Muslim children in Ghana.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy and be eligible for cool giveaways! If you cannot make it on August 11th, please drop gift cards and / or NEW toys, unwrapped in the bin inside Masjid Omar or at the Baitul Salaam office in Stone Mountain.

Bring 1 Toy and 1 roll of wrapping paper to enter twice in our giveaway! The more you bring, the more chances you get!

We will also have special goodies for the kids and a craft corner, inshallah!!!

Please come and support this effort to make this Eid extra special for everyone!

We're also collecting unopened bags of rice, unopened new bottles of cooking oil, canned dry and powdered milk, and uncooked unopened pasta boxes.

If you are interested in volunteering or helping out, please do join us!

See you there!
