Event Description

Are you ready to learn ways you can help and take action after the viewing of the film "13th" and discussion with our wonderful panelists last weekend? Well now's your opportunity!

In Honor of Black History Month, Madina Institute is partnering with IMAN (Inner-City Muslim Action Network) to assist with the Green ReEntry Project.

Green Reentry Program Summary :
The Green Reentry Leadership Training Program at IMAN serves and empowers ‘returning citizens’ into their communities by converting vacant properties into transitional, rental, and, homeownership housing opportunities for Muslim coming out of prison. Through the renovation of these homes, the program will provide on-the-job-construction experience, along with job readiness and life skills training, for ex-offenders who will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to their community in a meaningful way.

On Feb 25 IMAN Atlanta will begin renovating their program office and green reentry home.
