with the approach of Ramadan, it is particularly important to educate our community on how to maintain good energy and health at the same time by controlling what, how much and when to eat. al-Farooq Masjid's Free Clinic is conducting a Free lecture in this lieu on 'Ramadan diet and healthy eating' on Sunday, April 30th at 12pm with the Founder of the clinic Dr. Akbar Farooq, MD and a registered dietitian/nutritionist Ms. YaQutullah Ibraheem Muhammad, MS, LD, RD giving helpful tips on how to consume enough nutrition and keep your body away from the dangerous and harmful food, as well as avoiding to waste food.

The topics covered will include:

- Eating for health and hydration

- Diabetic considerations | Portioning

- Cardiovascular meal planning

- Ramadan Considerations

- Preventing food waste
