Introduction to Project Management: "The Successful Path to PMP Certification".
Project Management is a collective strategy for project implementation that includes five performance domains, initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling closing a project, which will be covered in this weekend session.

Companies and organizations around the world employ Project Management Professionals (PMP)'s to improve success of their initiatives in all apects. This is done by having a systematic and standardized set of principles contained in the Project Management Institute's PMBOK Guide.

In December 2005, the PMP credential was tied for fourth place in CertCities.com’s 10 Hottest Certifications for 2006,and in December 2008, it was number 7 of ZDNet’s 10 best IT certifications. More recently, in 2012 and 2013, the PMP credential has been ranked as a top certification by CIO, Global Knowledge, and About.com.

The class will be taught by United Muslim Relief's very own Mr. Khaled Falah:
Currently, Mr. Falah is a CIO at the DC Government and an Adjunct Professor at ITT Tech. He is also a volunteer at United Muslim Relief serving as the Chairman of the Board. Prior to his appointment as the former Vice President of Operations at Islamic Relief USA, Khaled Falah spent close to nine years in the public sector serving as senior technology executive for several governmental agencies in Washington, D.C. His tenure with the D.C. government included leadership roles at the Office of the Chief Technology Officer and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education. Mr. Falah was among the original IT professional team that helped transform D.C. government agencies from a technologically deficient status in 2000 to award-winning leaders in best practices by 2006.

Mr. Falah graduated with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Southern Illinois University and earned a Master of Science in Management of Information Systems from the University of Maryland. Mr. Falah is a Federally Certified Chief Information Officer from the CIO University, and a Federally Certified Enterprise Architect from the Federal Enterprise Architect Council. He also holds a Certified Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute.
