Event Description

Seventy-eight percent (78%) of all Haitians live off of less than $2 per day. Fifty-four percent (54%) live off of less than 50 cents per day. The Haitian Timoun Foundation (HTF), a leading empowerment 501(c)3 NGO in the region, is looking to change these figures by investing in local Haitian organizations, providing childhood education, developing local leaders and much more! HTF leads a yearly summer service trip in which faith-based organizations are able to attend and help developing programs in the region.

Part of their annual trip includes hygiene kits distribution and that's where we're coming together to help! 6 organizations, 4 mosques & 2 churches, are coming together to lead the 2015 HTF Hygiene Drive to gather the supplies needed for the Hygiene Kits to be distributed to Haiti's children this summer!

Participating Organizations are: Gwinnett Islamic Circle, Madina Institute U.S.A, Masjid Omar Bin Abdul Aziz, Masjid Maryam, Epiphany Lutheran Church, & Abiding Hope Lutheran Church

Our goal is to gather 400 Hygiene Kits for this project! We'd like to urge everyone when making their hygiene donations to make FULL KIT donations! For example, instead of donating 10 nail clippers, donating 1 of each item in a zip-lock gallon freezer bag as that is essential to guarantee efficient product distribution.

When donating a FULL KIT in a zip-lock gallon freezer bag, please also remove all packaging and place items directly into the bag.

Each Kit Contains:

1. Washcloths x 2
2. Toothpaste (6 oz.)
3. Nail Clippers
4. Hand Sanitizer (8 oz.)
5. Antibacterial Soap Bar
6. Toothbrushes x 6
7. Shampoo (12 oz.)
8. Comb (Wide Tooth only)
