Greetings of peace and blessing

With Ramadan approaching we pray Allah (swt) allows us to fully reap the rewards of the blessed month. Insha'Allah we are coordinating a feed the less fortunate breakfast/brunch during Ramadan and would love your participation. Last year we fed over 400+ people and our volunteers loved it so much that everyone wanted it to become a recurring event. Our location is directly across the street from the homeless shelter, so there will be plenty of people to feed unfortunately.

"(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: 'We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.'" - The Holy Quran, 7...6:8-9

The idea is for it to be a pot luck style event with everyone preparing a dish. Insha’Allah this method allows us to have a lot of food without anyone exerting too much energy. Attached is a link to a Google document that tracks who will be bringing what item below. Volunteers will be needed to serve, set up, and clean up so if you are interested in doing so, please indicate that in the Google document below as well. Jazak’Allahu Khair for any effort contributed towards feeding of the less fortunate.

Hygiene Drive:
There will also be a hygiene drive taking place. Last time, we made over 200 kits that we handed out. We will be making kits that include the following items inside that can be donated:

~ Toothbrushes
~ Toothpaste
~ Washcloths
~ Soap
~ Shampoo
~ Deodorant
~ Feminine products
~ Baby powder/baby products

Any monetary donations will also be appreciated to purchase these items. Please contact Amina Bouhamed for pick ups/ drop offs by June 30th, so we can put the items into kits to hand out. Please indicate on the google document how much you can bring or send Amina a message directly so a pick up time can be organized. Thank you so much, Jazakallah Khair!
