Rabbi Arik Ascherman will be talking about Rabbinical Responses to the heightened violence this summer in Israel/Gaza and between Israeli Jews and Palestinians, the situation of the settlements in Area C in the West Bank, and the ongoing challenges for the Bedouin communities in Israel

Rabbi Ascherman is President and Senior Rabbis of Rabbis for Human Rights in Israel. He is cofounder and director of Special Projects for Rabbis for Human Rights. An Israeli American-born Reformed Rabbi, former executive director, works tirelessly on issues combatting poverty and working on housing/education and toward civil and human rights.
