On January 24th, the UpLift Muslim Youth Group of the Roswell Community Masjid (RCM) visited the Safehouse Shelter in downtown Atlanta to host a pancake brunch for the homeless. This is the third consecutive year UpLift has hosted this event. Each year, it proves to be a rewarding experience that warms the spirits of all those who attend. Rarely do we seek the opportunity to sit down with our community’s homeless and carry out discussions. It is truly amazing how so simple a question as, “how is your day going?” can brighten someone’s day.
