This year marks the 30th anniversary of Hunger Walk/Run to fight against local hunger! In its 30 years, Hunger Walk/Run has raised over $7 million for hunger relief - enough to provide 28 million meals! This year, you can help make a real difference in the lives of your fellow Georgians by helping us exceed our fundraising goals. Take the next step: let's unite and join the Atlanta Muslim community on March 9, 2014!

Many Muslim organizations in Atlanta are participating such as Al Falah Academy, Hamzah Islamic Center, Islamic Center of Marietta (Masjid Al Hedaya), Islamic Community Center of Atlanta, Islamic Society of South Atlanta, Islamic Speakers Bureau, and Roswell Community Masjid.

I am a freelance writer and photographer who loves to doodle, write about, and capture the little unnoticeable things in life. Through my art medium of pencils, paint, potting soil, and pixels, I thrive. I am also a teacher and have taught 2nd grade in Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia for 4 years. I am currently a Stay-At-Home-Mom to a ___ month old toddler(she was born in June 2010---you can do the math!) who is exploring my creative outlet via the aforementioned 4 P's on www.reemfaruqi.com.
